According to the latest reports, Nvidia is allegedly working on a new high-end dual-GPU graphics card that could feature two GM200 GPUs and come sooner than expected.
According to a report from Wccftech.com, select members of the press have already attended a secret briefing regarding the upcoming dual-GPU graphics card from Nvidia which was held in New York City.
The alleged dual-GPU graphics card is rumored to be based on two GM200 GPUs and some of the select members of the press already managed to get a sample and are pretty much done with most of the benchmarking, suggesting that the launch could happen really soon.
According to the same report, Nvidia has decided to pair two high-end GM200 GPUs on a single PCB, although many expected that Nvidia would use GM204 GPU, which was behind the GTX 980 and GTX 970 graphics card. The GM200 GPU is the same GPU which was behind the Nvidia GTX Titan X and GTX 980 Ti graphics cards, which suggest that the upcoming dual-GPU graphics card could be an impressive performer.
As you probably already know, AMD is also working on a dual-GPU graphics card based on two Fiji GPUs but if Nvidia has indeed went for two GM200 GPUs on a single PCB, AMD's dual-GPU graphics card will have some tough competition.
Hopefully we will hear more about this dual-GPU graphics card from Nvidia soon.
