Cryorig unveils new M9 compact CPU coolers

The Cryorig M9i and M9a

Cryorig has released two new compact tower CPU coolers, the Cryorig M9i and M9a.

Featuring three 6mm heatpipes, True Copper Base and 92mm 2,200 rpm PWM fan, the new Cryorig M9 CPU cooler series are an entry-level tower heatsinks that are both compact and affordable but at the same time use some features seen on Cryorig's high-end CPU coolers.

As noted, the Cryorig M9 series comes with three 6mm high-performance copper heatpipes which connect the True Copper Base to a heatsink with 40 Jet Fin Acceleration System aluminum fins.

The aforementioned Jet Fin Acceleration System aluminum fins use wider air intake section and narrow air exhaust section, which in the end allows easy airflow intake and faster air exhaust. The True Copper Base, made of C1100 pure nickel plated copper, should help to transfer the heat from the CPU to copper heatpipes by creating more contact surface between those parts.

Measuring at 87x120x124.61mm and weighing 425g, it is clear that Cryorig M9 is a compact CPU cooler series but still offer 120W of cooling capacity. According to Cryorig, the M9 avoids any RAM or PCIe compatibility issues. The 92mm fan spins between 600 and 2,200 rpm and produces 48,4 CFM of airflow and 26,4 dBA of noise.

As you could have guessed from the name, the Cryorig M9a is for AMD socket FM1, FM2/+, AM2/+ and AM3/+ CPUs while Cryorig M9i is meant for Intel socket LGA1151(Skylake)/115X CPUs.

According to Cryorig, the M9 series will be available in September in Japan, Taiwan, South-East Asia, and the US, while Europe should get it later in October. The price is set at US $26.99 in the US and €26.99 in Europe.
