HDPlex H5 PC case gets detailed

For completely fanless build

HDPlex is apparently preparing its flagship ATX PC case for those that want a completely fanless system, the HDPlex H5.

Pictured and detailed by FanlessTech.com site, the HDPlex H5 has a large aluminum chassis that doubles up as a heatsink and which draws heat from the CPU via eight dedicated heatpipes. The chassis can be used as a passive graphics card cooler as well with an optional 8 copper heatpipe heatsink.

According to what we can see from published pictures and details, the HDPlex H5 will support ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards as well as ATX, SFX, FlexATX and HDPlex's nanoATX and external PSUs. It also supports and support for dual-slot PCI-Express graphics card.

There will be room for plenty of 3.5/2.5-inch drives and a 5.25-inch front mounted drive bay that supports hotswap HDD cage and 12.7mm thick optical drive.

The front mounted faceplate for the HDPlex is made of 15mm brushed aluminum and has a touch sensitive power button. HDPlex will also offer customized aluminum power button and plenty of faceplate options.

Unfortunately, we still do not have a precise availability date or the price, but the source suggest that it will fit in the sub-$300 range.
