ASUS launches three new Strix sound cards

Strix Raid DLX, Strix Raid Pro and Strix Soar

ASUS has unveiled a three new Strix series sound cards which are all based on high-quality ESS DACs, the Strix Raid DLX, Strix Raid Pro and the Strix Soar.

The top model, ASUS Strix Raid DLX (Deluxe), features high-end components, including ESS SABRE9016 digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), described by ASUS as the "world's highest performance 32-bit and 24-bit audio DAC." It also include a 124dB signal-to-noise ratio.

The two other models, the Strix Raid Pro and Strix Soar use ESS SABRE9006A DACs and feature 116dB signal-to-noise ratio.

The entire lineup offers high-definition 92kHz/24-bit audio, 7.1-channel surround-sound, and Perfect Voice noise-cancellation technology, according to ASUS, as well as Low-dropout (LDO) regulators and Hi-Fi-grade Nichicon FineGold, Nichicon Muse, and German WIMA capacitors. The entire lineup also comes with built-in 600 Ohm headphone amplifier.

The Strix Raid DLX and the Strix Raid Pro also come with an external sound control box with Raid Button, which allows users to switch between various pre-set and custom sound profiles, as well as offer volume control and more.

Unfortunately, ASUS did not unveil any details regarding the price or the availability date for the new Strix lineup.
