While we already heard a lot of information regarding the upcoming LG-made Nexus smartphone, we now have a bit more information, including the price and the release date.
According to the latest report from AndroidAuthority.com, the new Nexus smartphone might not be called Nexus 5 after all, but rather Nexus 5X, which should help to differentiate it from earlier released Nexus 5 smartphone. Citing a reliable source, AndroidAuthority.com suggest that the smartphone will be launch on September 29th with a US $400 price tag.
In case you missed it earlier, the new Nexus smartphone is expected to pack a 5.2-inch 1080p touchsreen, a 12.3-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera and be powered by Snapdragon 808 SoC paired up with 3GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of storage. The phone will be powered by a 2700mAh battery as well as feature a USB Type-C port.
While this could make the new 5.2-inch Nexus smartphone a direct competitor with the upcoming Moto X smartphone, it will also make it about US $70 more expensive than the OnePlus 2 smartphone, which has been plagued by the invite system.
In any case, we are looking forward to Google's new Nexus lineup and we will know for sure soon as September 29th is not far away.
