MSI GTX 980 Ti Lightning finally pictured

Featuring custom design and black/yellow color scheme

Just a few days before it should launch and after a few teasers, we now have first pictures of MSI's upcoming flagship Geforce GTX 980 Ti Lightning graphics card.

Based on a custom design with 10-layer PCB, 15-phase VRM drawing power from one 6-pin and two 8-pin PCI-Express power plugs, the MSI Geforce GTX 980 Ti will also pack plenty of overclocking features including voltage measure points, dual-BIOS with LN2-overclocking BIOS, ability to control each individual fan and more.

In case you aren't going to pull of the custom cooler for some LN2 overclocking action, you'll be happy to know that MSI equipped the Geforce GTX 980 Ti Lightning with Tri-Frozr triple-fan cooler which has a nickel-plated copper base connected via five 8mm and 10mm heatpipes to a large heatsink which is cooled by three 100mm individually controllable fans.

The MSI GTX 980 Ti Lightning will also come with a decent factory-overclock with GPU working at 1203MHz for the GPU base and 1303MHz for the GPU Boost clock while memory will remain at reference 7.10GHz. While this is not the highest factory-overclocked GTX 980 Ti on the market, we are quite sure that we will see a few records broken when the new Lightning gets into hands of some overclockers.

Unfortunately, we still do not have a precise availability date or the price but we are quite sure we will hear more about it soon.
