Modding Project: Toxic Chrome By Simple Modz

Corsair, Gigabyte, EVGA and G.Skill!

Although we already did a Modding Project story this week, we just could not miss a second mod project, based on Corsair 250D PC case, coming from Alex Simple Modz. Despite the compact size of the case, modder managed to put inside a complete liquid cooling setup, in addition to changing the design of the tiny Corsair chassis.

With the Toxic Chrome, Alex created a small and compact solution with some very good components and a full liquid cooling setup with full-cover waterblock. The modder didn't only assemble all the components, but also added a new few details, repainted the chassis and modernized the lines of Corsair 250D. As you can see from pictures below, he added a large plexiglas windows and also a thick plate with Corsair's logo at the front.

Inside the case, we find a Gigabyte Z97 platform paired with an unlocked Pentium G3258 CPU and G.Skill DDR3 memory. The graphics department is based on Nvidia GTX 670 powered by a Corsair PSU. The cooling system, like mentioned, is based on a water cooling setup with EK-WB waterblocks, radiators from Alphacool and fittings and tubes from PrimoChill.

The end result is very interesting and we appreciate the care and patience from Alex. We know that working with a compact solution like the Corsair 250D isn't so easy! Below you can find the complete worklog and all the pictures at our Ocaholic Facebook page. Good job Alex, we hope to see a new project soon!
