According to the latest report, it appears that Apple's upcoming iPhone 6S will feature a 12-megapixel main camera.
The newest report comes from
Business Insider which cites the source from Apple's supply chain saying that suppliers are getting orders to produce lenses which will work with 12-megapixel camera sensor.
This lines up with earlier reports that Apple might put a higher megapixel camera in its next iPhone and while both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pack the same 8-megapixel camera, which produces decent pictures, competition has been pulling away with Samsung's latest flagship featuring a very good 16-megapixel camera.
According to earlier rumors, Apple is expected to launch its new Apple iPhone 6S sometime in September, with September 18th as a possible Apple launch date.
