It appears that AMD Radeon R9 Nano could launch soon as AMD has revealed a bit more details during its Hot Chips presentation.
According to new AMD information, the R9 Nano will indeed be faster than the Radeon R9 290X, at half the power consumption which adds up to a 90 percent higher performance per Watt compared to the same graphics card.
It will also have about 50 percent higher performance per Watt compared to AMD's current flagship graphics card, the Radeon R9 Fury X. Unfortunately, there are still no precise details regarding the actual specifications of the R9 Nano and it is still not clear if it will have lower number of Stream Processors or/and lower clocks.
According to
the slides coming from Golem.de, AMD will target smaller and compact systems that can play games at 1440p.
