Powercolor has announced its newest member of the DEVIL graphics card series, the DEVIL R9 390X graphics card which will feature a custom design, hybrid cooler as well as a high factory-overclock.
The new Powercolor DEVIL R9 390X features a custom PCB design with an 8-phase (6+1+1-phase) VRM and Digital PWM solution which should provide support for fine tuning adjustment and low ripple at an output voltage. Based on a well known Hawaii GPU (now known as Grenada) with 2816 Stream Processors, the DEVIL R9 390X works at 1100MHz for the GPU while 8GB of GDDR5 memory, paired up with a 512-bit memory interface, ended up clocked at 1525MHz (6.1GHz effective).
As noted, the Powercolor DEVIL R9 390X features a custom Hybrid Cooling Solution, which includes standard air cooler with a single fan, called Smart Air Cooling, and which takes care of the MOSFET cooling and a liquid cooling solution which probably cools both the GPU and memory.
According to Powercolor, the new DEVIL R9 390X should be available in retail soon with a price set at €479 in Europe.
