Gigabyte has unveiled its newest BRIX Mini-PC that will be powered by Intel's Celeron N3000 Braswell SoC.
Based on a 14nm Braswell SoC with dual-core Airmont architecture CPU clocked at 1.04GHz and featuring 2.08GHz Turbo, the Celeron N3000 SoC also supports HyperThreading, packs 1MB of cache and features Intel's 8th generation IGP with 12 Execution Units (EUs) and support for dual-channel DDR3L-1600 memory.
The Gigabyte BRIX Mini-PC measures at 56.1x107.6x114.4, which makes it quite a compact system. As this is a barebone unit, it means that you will have to add memory, in a single DDR3L SO-DIMM slot (max 8GB) and attach some sort of storage to an M.2 slot, a 9mm thick 2.5-inch SATA 6Gbps port or both.
The rest of the specifications and features include Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI and D-Sub display outputs, integrated audio, four USB 3.0 ports and a microSD card slot.
Unfortunately, we still have no details regarding the price or the availability date.
