Corsair announces couple of new gaming peripherals

RGB keyboards, mouse and gaming headsets

Corsair came to Gamescom 2015 in style, announcing a full lineup of new gaming keyboards, mice and headsets.

Corsair brought quite a few new gaming peripherals to Gamescom 2015 show in Cologne which include STRAFE RGB gaming keyboards with new Cherry MX Silent switches, new Scimitar RGB MMO/MOBA mouse and the new flagship VOID gaming headset.

The star of the show is definitely the STRAFE RGB Silent gaming keyboard which is the world's first gaming keyboard that will use Cherry's Cherry MX RGB Silent mechanical switches and should deliver the same quality as earlier Cherry MX switches but with significantly quieter actuation. According to Corsair, the new STRAFE RGB Silent keyboard will be 30 percent quieter than any other mechanical keyboard on the market and it appears that Corsair managed to score exclusivity on Cherry MX Silent switches, at least for the time being.

As the new Cherry MX RGB Silent switches will be available in two versions, Corsair will offer the new STRAFE RGB Silent keyboard in two versions as well, with Cherry MX Red or Cherry MX Brown switches.

In addition to the STRAFE RGB Silent keyboard, Corsair also unveiled the STRAFE RGB keyboard which is pretty much the same keyboard just without the new Cherry MX Silent switches.

While the new STRAFE RGB Silent keyboard is certainly the star of the show, the new SCIMITAR RGB gaming mouse is quite interesting too as it features 12 optimized mechanical buttons, patent-pending Key Slider macro button, 12000 DPI sensor and customizable multicolor backlighting system.

Corsair also unveiled a couple of new VOID gaming headsets, including VOID Wireless SE, VOID Wireless Dolby 7.1, VOID USB Dolby 7.1 and VOID Stereo Analog Gaming Headset. The first three are pretty much the same as all use the same 50nm 50mm neodymium drivers for full bass sound, have Dolby 7.1 multi-channel surround sound and feature microfiber-wrapped memory foam ear pads. The only difference is that the first two are wireless and use 2.4GHz connection while the third one uses wired USB connection.

The fourth will be a budget version with two 50mm neodymium drivers and we are talking about VOID Stereo Analog gaming headset. It also comes with microfiber-wrapped memory foam ear pads for extended play, same unidirectional noise-cancelling microphone and should be also available in August 2015, just as the rest of the VOID gaming headset lineup.

The STRAFE RGB Silent and STRAFE RGB mechanical keyboards should be available in October with a price set at US $159.99 and US $149.99, respectively. The SCIMITAR RGB gaming mouse comes in September 2015 with a price set at US $79.99 while VOID gaming headset lineup mostly comes in late August 2015 with price ranging from US $79.99 for the Stereo Analog version up to US $149.99 for the VOID Wireless SE, US $129.99 for the VOID Wireless Dolby 7.1 and US $99.99 for the VOID USB Dolby 7.1 gaming headset.
