Samsung cutting price on Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

Not doing as good as it hoped

During its quarterly earning report, where the company has announced that its profits have actually fallen by eight percent, Samsung has also announced that it plans to cut the price of both the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone.

The price cut comes as a result of a rather low sale numbers from those two smartphones as well as the upcoming launch of two new smartphones that should be unveiled at Samsung Unpacked event scheduled for August 13th.

While Samsung sold quite a few Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones, the sale numbers were nowhere near expected sale figures which probably pushed the company to introduce price cut on both models.

In addition to low sales, Samsung is expected to introduce the new Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus smartphones on August 15th and needs to put some room between these new models and the earlier released Galaxy flagships.

Unfortunately, the company did not reveal precise details regarding the price cut but we guess we will know as soon as it launches the two new smartphones on August 15th.
