Samsung has launched two new 4K/UHD monitors that will have support for AMD's FreeSync technology.
Samsung has finally decided it is the right time to launch 4K/UHD 3840x2160 resolution monitors that will have support for AMD's FreeSync technology and has come up with two such monitors, the 23.6-inch U24E590D and the 28-inch U28E590D.
In case you missed it earlier, AMD's FreeSync actually synchronizes the refresh rate of the monitor with the rendering frame rate in order to eliminate tearing and shuttering.
The smaller U24E590D is based on a PLS panel with 300cd/m2 of brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 4ms response time and 178/178 viewing angles. It has two HDMI (2.0 and 1.4) and single DisplayPort 1.2 inputs.
The bigger U28E590D uses TN panel, has 370cd/m2 of brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 1ms response time and 170/160 viewing angles. It also has the same inputs, with two HDMI (2.0 and 1.4) and DisplayPort 1.2 input.
Both monitors include support for Picture-in-Picture, Magic Bright, UHD Upscale, Eye Saver mode, Flicker free, Free-Sync and Game modes and feature the same Deco-bar metallic stand.
According to Samsung, the U24E590D will be priced at US $399.99 when it hits retail/e-tail shops as of July 26th while the U28E590D should be priced at US $599.99 and should be available immediately.
