ASUS' Republic of Gamers has announced that it will be a part of biggest extreme-overclocking gathering orginized by HWBOT in conjunction with ASUS ROG, Hyper, Seasonic, Intel, DimasTech and OverClocking-TV, the ASUS ROG OC Showdown, which will also be the third an final stop of HWBOT World Tour 2015.
According to ASUS, those that visit the ROG OC Showdown area and HWBOT World Series will be able to see some of the best overclockers around, which will compete to achieve the best score across 13 benchmarking targets and on some high-end hardware from event partners. Each world-record winner will be awarded a "WR title" and US $750 each while each global first place and hardware first place winner will receive US $250.
Those that are unable to attend Computex 2015 show in Taipei will be able to follow
a live stream of the three-day event via Twitch.tv, thanks to OverClocking-TV, and will also have a chance to win great prizes including ROG OC Showdown T-shirts and caps, ROG Enthusiast SLI Bridge, ROG and ASUS Strix gaming headsets and Strix mouse pads.
Those competing in the HWBOT World Tour Series 2015 will be running on ASUS, HyperX, Intel and Seasonic hardware and the competition will be divided in three stages, SuperP 1M hardware points, SuperPI 1M target score and Cinebench R15. The winners will be taking home some great prizes including a forthcoming graphics card, ROG’s Rampage V Extreme gaming motherboard, a HyperX DDR4 memory kit, and a HyperX SSD as well as cash prize for top three participants.
In order to celebrate both events,
ASUS ROG will be also running an online contest open to anyone worldwide which will offer some great prizes including ASUS Matrix R9 290X graphics card, ASUS ROG Maximus VII Gene microATX motherboard, HyperX DDR4 3333MHz memory kit and Seasonic's Snow Silent 1050W PSU.
