Flagship AMD Fiji graphics card to get a new name

Not going to be called Radeon R9 3xx

We already heard the rumor that AMD might switch from standard naming scheme and come up with something similar to GTX Titan when its flagship Fiji GPU based graphics card is concerned and today, we get a fresh confirmation regarding it.

According to the latest report from SweClockers.com, which are usually spot on when it comes to rumors, confirms that AMD will use a new fancy name for at least on of the SKUs based on the Fiji GPU. According to what we heard earlier, since this AMD flagship will compete with Nvidia's GTX Titan X graphics card, we might get a similar naming model.

Earlier, there were rumors that AMD might have two different SKUs based on the Fiji GPU, including standard single-GPU Fiji graphics card with 4GB of High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) and dual-GPU version which will most likely end up with some sort of liquid cooling and 8GB of HBM (4GB per GPU).

While some source expect AMD to launch its graphics card during E3 2015 show, most recent rumors point to a different launch date, or the PC Gaming Show event scheduled for June 16th.
