Corsair has announced the availability of its new Corsair Vengeance LPX and Dominator Platinum series 128GB DDR4 unbuffered memory kits, claiming world's first available kits at such capacity.
Designed to be used on Intel's X99 series motherboards, and consisting of eight 16GB DDR4 memory modules, the new 128GB kits will be available in Corsair's well known Vengeance LPX and Dominator Platinum Series lines and be available at 2400MHz and 2666MHz frequencies, with higher ones coming soon.
In case you missed them before, Corsair's Dominator Platinum Series is the cream of the crop when it comes to standard memory kits and use DHX technology heatsinks, have user-swappable colored "light pipes" for LED lighting and come with hand-screen ICs and rigorous performance testing.
The Vengeance LPX Series on the other hand are designed for high-performance overclocking and come with aluminum heatsinks, eight-layer PCB and individually screened ICs.
The 128GB kits will be available as Vengeance LPX 128GB 2400MHz kit with 14-16-16-31 latency at 1.2V while Dominator Platinum 128GB kits will be available in 2400MHz and 2666MHz versions with 14-16-16-31 and 15-17-17-35 latencies both at 1.2V.
As expected, such high capacity memory kits will also come with a high price tag set at US $1754.99 for the Vengeance LPX 128GB 2400MHz kit and US $1979.99 and US $2119.99 for the Dominator Platinum 128GB 2400MHz and 2666MHz kits, respectively.
