New Intel driver adds support for 100-series chipset

New Intel Chipset Device software v10.0.27

Rather quietly, Intel has released a new version of the Chipset Devices software driver which adds support for Intel's new 100-series chipsets, 6th generation Core Skylake processors and Windows 10 OS.

Dated on 5th of May, 2015, the software brings support for Intel's 100-series chipsets, including the Z170 Express chipset and will be one that will ship with recently seen engineering samples of such motherboards.

The release of the new Intel Chipset Device software v10.0.27 does not come as a surprise considering that we expect to see plenty of Intel 100-series chipset based motherboards during Computex 2015 show.

Intel's 6th generation Core Skylake processors are expected to launch later this year, or sometime in the second half of the year, while recent rumors suggest that Microsoft Windows 10 OS will be release in July.: Intel.com.
