We already knew that EA and DICE have been working on a Mirror's Edge sequel since 2013, but now EA has confirmed that the game will be launching in Q1 2016.
According to EA, Mirror's Edge 2 will "reboot the franchise for the next generation," and we already know that EA and DICE have been working with parkour artists to tune the movement of Faith, a main character in Mirror's Edge.
"I wanted to let you know that the game is progressing nicely and I think you're going to love it," senior producer Sara Jansson said last year. "I know many of you probably wish we would show more of the game, but we're still pretty early in development and our passionate core Mirror's Edge team is working full on to make the best game possible."
It will be 6 years since the original Mirror's Edge launched on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
It appears that DICE is quite busy these days as the developer is currently working on Star Wars Battlefront which is planned for later this year, a new Battlefield game for Q4 2016 and Mirror's Edge for Q1 2016.
