Samsung is definitely preparing a new Gear smartwatch as the company has teased a new device with circular display in a post regarding its SDK for smartwatches.

The new Samsung Gear smartwatch could be the Orbis that was recently rumored, and if this is the case, it will run on Tizen OS, rather than Android Wear.

According to known details that were teased by Samsung, the new Gear smartwatch will not only feature a circular display but also a rotating bezel and plenty of other features, and Samsung call it a "next generation Gear device."

The teaser also points out that it will come with all the popular apps but unfortunately does not reveal any more details.

Samsung has invited developers to sign up for the program to create new apps and experiences for the smartwatch, and this will be the 7th generation of Samsung Gear with a wrist watch type, according to Samsung.
