Patriot announces Ignite series M.2 SSD

Based on NGFF 2280 form-factor

Patriot has announced its latest addition to the solid-state drive lineup, the new Ignite M.2 SSD series.

To be available in 240 and 480GB capacities and in Next Generation Form Factor (NGFF) case free M.2 2280 (22mm wide, 80mm long) form-factor, the new Patriot Ignite M.2 SSD will be based on Phison S10 controller paired up with MLC NAND memory. With sequential transfer speeds of up to 560MB/s for read and 320MB/s for write and 4K random read and write performance of up to 90,000 and 70,000 IOPS, respectively, the Patriot Ignite M.2 SSDs will offer plenty of performance.

As expected, the Patriot Ignite M2 SSD will be backed by a three-year warranty, be compatible with most notebooks and have support for end-to-end data protection (ETEP), advanced wear-leveling, advanced Garbage collection, smartECC and Smart Refresh.

The Patriot Ignite M.2 SSD series should be available by the beginning of May with a suggested retail price of US $109.99 for the 240GB model and US $209.99 for the 480GB version.
