Zotac, mostly known for its Nvidia Geforce graphics cards, has been doing quite good when it comes to mini-PCs as well and today, it has updated its line of ZBox Nano mini-PCs with two new SKUs based on 14nm Intel Broadwell CPUs, the ZBox MI522 Nano and the ZBox MI542 Nano.
The first to be equipped with 14nm Intel Broadwell CPUs are the ZBox MI522 Nano and the ZBox MI542 Nano. Both are based on Zotac's classic ZBox Nano design with blue circle, showing that it is based on Intel platform. The ZBox MI522 Nano will be based on a dual-core Core i3-5010U CPU clocked at 2.1GHz while the ZBox MI542 is going to be based on the Core i5-5200U CPU clocked at 2.2GHz (2.7GHz Turbo).
Both the Intel Core i3-5010U based ZBox MI522 Nano and the Core i5-5200U based ZBox MI542 Nano pack the same Intel HD Graphics 5500 IGP, dual Gigabit LAN, 802.11ac WiFi, plenty of USB 3.0 ports and feature both HDMI 1.4a and DisplayPort 1.2 outputs.
As it was the case with previous Zotac ZBox mini-PC SKUs, these two will also be available as barebones or as Plus versions with 4GB of memory and 500GB 2.5-inch HDD.
Unfortunately, Zotac did not reveal any details regarding the actual availability date or the price.
