While we eagerly await for the official launch of AMD's upcoming Radeon Rx 300 series, we now have some of the first pictures which allegedly show the upcoming Radeon R9 390 graphics card.
While there are no precise details whatsoever, the two leaked pictures coming from Chinese forums show what appears to be the XFX Radeon R9 390 Double Dissipation graphics card. Featuring a dual-slot cooler with two 100mm fans cooling a rather hefty heatsink as well as 8+6-pin PCI-Express power connectors, the R9 390 should be powered by AMD's Fiji Pro GPU.
Unlike the R9 390X which is expected to pack a fully enabled Fiji XT GPU with 4096 Stream Processors, the R9 390 might have a slightly less Stream Processors and lower clocks since it is based on Fiji Pro GPU. As rumored earlier it should be the first graphics cards to pack High-Bandwidth Memory with 4096-bit memory interface and 640GB/s of memory bandwidth.
It is also quite important to note that AMD might allow its partners to come up with custom designs from day one, at least judging from these pictures and these should come with 4GB and 8GB of memory, at least according to earlier rumors.
As we see start to see some of the first pictures, hopefully we will have more details regarding precise specifications and possible performance figures soon.
