A newest report suggest that Apple's next A9 chipset will be manufactured by Samsung, despite earlier report suggesting that TSMC might get the deal.
While TSMC was probably Apple's first choice, it appears that Apple wants to use Samsung's 14nm manufacturing process for its next Apple A9 chipset, the one that will power the 2015 range of Apple iPhones, most likely called the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus.
According to
the latest report from Bloomberg, Apple wants to use Samsung's 14nm manufacturing node, the same one that Samsung currently uses for its 14nm Exynos 7420 chipset, one behind Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones.
According to the same report, Samsung will start manufacturing the Apple A9 chipset in South Korea later this year.
