Thecus has announced its new zero-crash 5-bay Network-attached Storage (NAS), the N5810PRO. Based on Intel Celeron quad-core processor and Mini-UPS battery, the new Thecus N5810PRO should provide fast performance with impenetrable data integrity, according to Thecus.
As noted, the new Thecus N8510PRO NAS is based on Intel Celeron J1900 quad-core 2.0GHz clocked SoC paired up wtih 4GB of DDR3 RAM (expandable to 8GB) and features 5 Gigabit LAN ports, providing throughput performance of up to 500MB/s.
It also supports seven modes of link aggregation including fault tolerance and port-trunking modes for increased performance.
Expandable to up to 40TB of storage in five bays, the new Thecus N8510PRO NAS supports VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft Hyper-Vallow for seamless integration into a businesses' virtualization environment.
The rest of the features and specifications include three USB 3.0 ports (1x front, 2x back) and two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output port, LCM display, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD support, built-in Mini-UPS with contingency power supply, VPN server, Secure Remote Access, Thecus OS5 operating system and plenty of other features.
The new Thecus zero-crash 5-bay N8510PRO NAS will begin shipping globally by the end of April. Unfortunately, Thecus did announce any details regarding the price.
