OCZ Storage Solutions has announced its latest addition to Intrepid 3000 enterprise SATA III lineup, the new 2TB Intrepid 3700 SSD with 2TB capacity.
Currently available in 240GB, 480GB, 960GB and 1,920GB usable storage capacity versions and based on Toshiba's A19nm NAND flash, the Intrepid 3700 SSD lineup uses OCZ's Everest 2 controller with optimized firmware architecture and advanced flash management aimed mostly at enterprise market segment.
The new 2TB (1,920GB) version is also OZC largest capacity enterprise SSD to date and with datacenter customers asking for larger SSDs, without sacrifice in performance or endurance, this marks a new milestone for OCZ and its Intrepid 3700 series SSDs.
Delivering excellent performance for both large block sequential operations as well as small block random operations, the Intrepid 3700 series offers sequential performance (128KB blocks) of up to 540MB/s for read and up to 470MB/s for write with random performance of up to 91,000 IOPS for read and 13,000 IOPS for write.
Since it is mostly aimed at enterprise market, the entire Intrepid 3700 SSD series also feature Error Correction Coding (ECC), end-to-end data path protection, Power Loss Protection (PLP) and internal SSD RAID that duplicates all stored data.
Available in standard 2.5-inch form factor, the Intrepid 3700 series will be available through OCZ's global channel of authorized enterprise solution resellers. Unfortunately, OCZ did not reveal any details regarding the price.
