Gigabyte has announced yet another AMD AM3+ socket motherboard, the AMD 990X chipset based 990XA-UD3 R5.
Based on AMD's 990X chipset with SB950 southbridge, the new Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 R5 is based on standard ATX form-factor, has 10-phase CPU VRM, comes with two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 (x8/x8) slots, PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slot (x4) as well as two PCI-Express 2.0 x1 and standard PCI slots.
The rest of the features include six SATA 6Gbps storage ports, Realtek ALC1150 CODEC integrated audio with 115dBA SNR, audio-grade capacitors and TI-made headphone amplifier, Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 3.0 ports as well as AMI UEFI BIOS, Windows 8 SecureBoot and FastBoot features.
While it is AM3+ socket motherboard, it does not support AMD FX-9000 series CPUs but rather sticks to support for AMD FX-8000 series CPUs.
Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any details regarding the availability date or the price but you can expect it on the market soon with a price of around US $130.
