During its WinHEC conference in China, Microsoft not only revealed that the Windows 10 will launch this summer but also talked about the hardware requirements, revealing system requirements for both desktop as well as the mobile.

While we did know that most system requirements will be quite similar to that one of Windows 8 OS, we now have some precise details for both desktop and mobile devices. Microsoft has been designing Windows 10 OS to be the best one ever and is definitely doing everything it can to make it as flexible as possible when it comes to both older and new hardware.

As you can see from pictures below, spotted by Neowin.net, minimum system requirements are within reasonable lines so 2GB of memory will be minimum for 64-bit Windows 10 while 1GB will be enough for the 32-bit version. The minimum resolution will be 800x600 and it will also support extremely large resolutions as well. When it comes to storage on desktop, it will need at least 16GB of the 32-bit version and at least 20GB for the 64-bit version.




On mobile, the Windows Phone 10 OS will need at least 512MB of memory when running lower resolution devices, support devices ranging from 3 to 7.99-inches and need at least 4GB of internal storage with SD card required for updates.




Slide does mention two different versions, including Pro and Consumer and we are quite sure we will hear more about them as we draw closer to the launch date.
