Google reportedly working on Android VR

Virtual Reality OS

It is pretty clear that virtual reality (VR) is the next big thing so it does not come as a surprise that we are now hearing reports that Google is actually working on Android VR, a version of its mobile OS dedicated to VR.

The report, caught by TheVerge.com, is coming from The Wall Street Journal and cites two unnamed sources that claim that Google is working on a version of Android OS that will be all about virtual reality applications.

The same report suggest that Google has "tens of engineers" working on Android VR project which will end up to be free and targeting tablets, smartphones and wearables.

Apparently, Google has both Clay Bavor and Jeremy Doig leading the project and Bavor was the guy that was on Google Cardboard VR team.
