During its quarterly financial report, where Apple reported a record quarter with US $74.6 billion of revenue, Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, also announced that the company managed to sell over 1 billion iOS device up to date.
According to Tim Cook, Apple shipped its one billionth iOS device sometime during the December quarter and it did not come as a surprise that the device was actually a space-grey 64GB iPhone 6 Plus.
This does not come as a big surprise considering that the company managed to sell 74.4 million iPhones during last fiscal quarter, which adds up to around 34,000 units per hour.
Apple's CEO Tim Cook also revealed that the one billionth 64GB iPhone 6 Plus will be kept in the company HQ in Cupertino in honor of the milestone.
