Custom GTX 960 from day one

While the new Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 graphics card is still scheduled for official launch on the 22nd of January, we now have first picture of the custom Geforce GTX 960 coming from Gigabyte, the Geforce GTX 960 G1.Gaming.

Based on a completely custom design with Gigabyte's well known WindForce 3X cooling solution, we are quite sure that the GTX 960 G1.Gaming will have a hefty factory-overclock right out of the box.

Since the GTX 960 will have a 120W TDP, the WindForce 3X cooler might sound like an overkill, especially considering that it is the same cooler that Gigabyte used on both the GTX 970 and the GTX 980 graphics cards, but it will also lead to lower noise since the cooler will not spin up to 100 percent that often, and will also offer additional overclocking headroom.

The upcoming Gigabyte GTX 960 G1.Gaming will also be a bit different that what we saw earlier, as the display output configuration includes two DVI, three DisplayPort 1.2 and one HDMI 2.0 outputs, which is the same as on the GTX 980, rather than reference GTX 960 that we saw earlier.

Unfortunately, Videocardz.com, which provided Gigabyte GTX 960 G1.Gaming pictures, did not reveal any details regarding the final specifications, including GPU and memory clocks, or the price and the availability date of the custom GTX 960 from Gigabyte, but apparently these will be available from day one, or as soon as Nvidia officially announce the GTX 960 on 22nd of January.
