OCZ unveils Vector 180 SSD at CES 2015

With new Barefoot 3 M00 controller

In addition to the JetExpress SSD controller that we should see in some new high-end SSD devices in near future, OCZ also unveiled the new Vector 180 SSD at CES 2015 show in Las Vegas.

Based on the new Barefoot 3 M00 controller paired up with Toshiba's A19 MLC NAND flash memory, the new Vector 180 will be available in 240GB, 480GB and 960GB capacities and offer sequential transfer read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 530MB/s as well as 4K random read and write performance of up to 100,000 and 95,000 IOPS.

According to known other specifications provided by OCZ to Techpowerup.com, the new Vector 180 will have a 50GB/day write endurance rating as well as feature power failure management and OCZ's 5-year ShieldPlus warranty.

Unfortunately, OCZ did not provide any details regarding the precise availability date or the price.
