Acer came to the Consumer Electronic Show 2015 with two new 27-inch monitors which will be based on IPS WQHD panels, while one of them will also support Nvidia's proprietary NVIDIA G-Sync technology, the Acer XB270HU (G-Sync) and the Acer XG270HU.
The CES 2015 show, which takes place from 6th to 9th of January in Las Vegas, is still the place where most companies unveil their flagship products, so it does not come as a surprise that Acer is teasing two new monitors aimed at gamers.
The first is the XB270HU, a 27-inch equipped with an IPS WQHD (2560 x 1440) screen at 144Hz. It has the distinction of being compatible with the NVIDIA G-Sync technology and has a better resolution than the previous XB270H and the XB280HK. At the same time, Acer also unveiled the XG270HU which has similar specifications with a grey to grey response time of 1ms, but does not feature support for Nvidia G-Sync. This model also has a completely different design with thin edges. For connectivity, this one features two HDMI ports, a DVI and a DisplayPort 1.4 input.
Unfortunately, Acer did not reveal any more details regarding the rest of the specifications or any details regarding the price. Since these two new Acer monitors are scheduled for March, we hope that we will soon hear a bit more about them.
