Samsung might announce Galaxy S6 at CES 2015

Fresh rumor shows up

Although we are just a few weeks away from CES 2015 show, according to a fresh set of rumors, Samsung might use this show to unveil its new Galaxy S6 flagship smartphone.

While it was previously announcing its flagship Galaxy S smartphones at a dedicated event in February-May, the newest rumors coming from Korean online publication, which were spotted by GforGames site, suggest that Samsung might actually announce its new Galaxy S6 flagship smartphone during Consumer Electronics Show 2015 (CES 2015) Scheduled to kick off in Las Vegas on January 7th.

The source cites analysts from Mirae Asset Securities (MAS) from South Korea, which suggest that the new Galaxy S6 could be unveiled between January 6th and January 9th, which lines up perfectly with the CES 2015. Another rumor suggest that Samsung might also unveil a curved screen smartphone alongside the Galaxy S6, possibly some version of the Edge.

Previous rumors suggested that the Galaxy S6 will be based on a 5.5-inch 2560x1440 screen, an Exynos 7420 octa-core processor paired up with 3GB of RAM, have 32GB of internal storage and a 20-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera.

The same source also predicts that Samsung aims to sell a total of 45 million Galaxy S6 smartphones, as well as 10 million Edge versions. Of course, Samsung did not officially confirm any of these rumors and it is still not clear if they will wait for the MWC 2015 show or make a dedicated Galaxy S6 launch even later next year.
