EIZO has introduced a new 31-inch 4K/UHD monitor, with built in self color calibration system as well as a 99% coverage of the AdobeRGB color spectrum, the EIZO ColorEdge CG318-4K.


The ColorEdge CG318-4K does not only feature a large 31.1-inch panel capable of displaying 4K (4096 x 2160) resolution, but also comes with impressive color and brightness which should appeal to image professionals.

Equipped with a 31.1-inch IPS LED screen, the EIZO CG318-4K can display a 4096 x 2160 resolution, has a 1500:1 contrast ratio, 350cd/m² of brightness, a grey to grey response time of 9ms and a 178°/178° field of view.

It is capable of displaying 99% of Adobe RGB color spectrum and 98% of the CDI-P3 spectrum. To ensure the best possible rendering, it is equipped with a retractable probe sensor (on the top of the screen) which will allow you to calibrate the screen without any other external system, and promises full brightness and color calibration in 30 seconds or less.

For its connectivity, EIZO CG318-4K comes with a DisplayPort, HDMI port and a USB 3.0 3-port hub. As expected from a high-end monitor, the EIZO CG318-4K will also have an adjustable stand which will allow user to adjust the height, depth, as well as the tilt, but not the rotation.

The EIZO is scheduled to be available on sale sometime in April 2015, but its price has not been unveiled yet.
