Gigabyte has announced its latest micro-ATX addition to its lineup of motherboards based on Intel's X99 Express chispet and with support for Intel's Core i7 Extreme Edition Haswell-E CPUs, the Gigabyte X99M-Gaming 5 micro-ATX motherboard. Featuring a compact, but feature packed design, the new X99M-Gaming 5 is aimed at those gamers looking to assemble a perfect LAN-party rig.
As noted and despite its small micro-ATX 24.4x24.4cm form-factor, the Gigabyte X99M-Gaming 5 motherboard features two PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots with support for AMD 2-way Crossfire or Nvidia SLI graphics configurations as well as all the features that you would expect to find on a gaming branded motherboard, including Gigabyte's AMP-UP Audio technology with Realtek ALC1150 audio amplifier, upgradeable OP-AMP, high-end audio capacitors, gold plated audio hardware and quad USB DAC-UP as well as Killer E2200 Ethernet, Ambient LED feature, all digital power design with 4th generation digital PWM controller, server level chokes and IR digital PWM and ir PowIRstage ICs and durable black solid CAPs.
The rest of the specifications include four DDR4 memory slots with support for up to 32GB of DDR4-3000 memory, additional single PCI-Express x16 slot running at x8, one PCI-Express x1 slot and one M.2 socoket for the WiFi and one M.2 PCIe connector, one SATA Express port, ten SATA 6Gbps ports, eight USB 3.0 and ten USB 2.0 ports as well as bunch of other feature including on board power, reset and clear CMOS buttons, BIOS switches and much more.
Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any details regarding availability or the price of the new Gigabyte GA-X99M-Gaming 5 motherboard.
