EKWB introduces shorter GTX 970 water block

The EK-FC 970 GTX

Slovenian based EK Water Blocks have now introduced its newest full-cover water block aimed to be used with Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 series graphics cards based on GM204 Maxwell GPU and short PCB, the EK-FC970 GTX.

The EK-FC970 GTX features a full-cover design which means it directly cools the GPU, RAM as well as the VRM (voltage regulation module) part of the graphics cards. The new EK-FC970 GTX is also based on a very high flow design which means it can be used with liquid cooling systems with a weaker water pumps and also uses improved cooling engine with refined micro-channel structure that should further improve heat transfer.

As it was the case with most recent EK Water Blocks water blocks, the base of the EK-FC970 GTX is also based on either bare- or nickel-plated electrolytic copper (depending on the version) while the top is made of POM Acetal or acrylic (depending on the version). It also features pre-installed screw-in brass standoffs.

The new EK-FC970 GTX is priced at €91.95 and €99.95 depending on the version and will also be available with an optional black or nickel backplate priced at €25.95 and €32.95, respectively.
