AMD has released its newest version of the Catalyst graphics card driver which is optimized for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity game, the Catalyst 14.11.1 Beta driver.
Since both of these games require no less than 4GB of RAM and do not support Windows XP, the new Catalyst 14.11.1 Beta driver will be only available for 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 operating systems.
AMD's release notes are not really revealing regarding the new Catalyst 14.11.1 Beta driver, other than obvious optimizations for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Assassin's Creed Unity games. There are couple of known issues with the new driver where you might experience stuttering in Assassin's Creed Unity under specific game settings and in Crossfire mode, as well as some other issues Call of Duty Advanced Warfare game.
The new Catalyst 14.11.1 Beta driver supports all AMD Radeon graphics cards since Radeon HD 7000 series as well as AMD Mobility Radeon graphics card since Radeon HD 7000M series.
