MSI announces availability of new ACK series motherboards

The Z97 Gaming 9 AKC and the X99S Gaming 9 ACK

MSI has now announced the availability of the two new Gaming Series motherboard based on Intel's Z97 and the X99 Express chipset, the MSI Z97 Gaming 9 ACK and the MSI X99S Gaming 9 ACK motherboards. Both new motherboards will feature the Killer Smart Teaming feature which combines integrated Killer WiFi with Killer wired Ethernet in order to provide best possible network and lag-free gaming experience.

Since we already wrote about both the new MSI X99S Gaming 9 ACK motherboard as well as the MSI Z97 Gaming 9 AC motherboard, which is pretty much the same motherboard, except for the new Killer DoubleShot Pro and Killer Smart Teaming features, we will only focus on new features of the ACK series.

MSI has decided to team up both the the wired Killer E2205 Gigabit Ethernet with integrated Qualcomm's Killer 1525 WLAN on its ACK series motherboards. This allows MSI to use both the Killer DoubleShot Pro feature, which delivers 3.5x times lower latency and 2.9x times faster data throughput compared to traditional Wireless-N solutions as well as the Killer Smart Teaming feature, which allows the use of LAN and WI-FI at the same time with speeds up to 1.867 Gbps and the ability to process gaming activity through LAN and other Internet activity through Wi-Fi for the best lag-free gaming experience.

The ACK Series motherboards also come with the Killer Network Manager and also offer best possible networking solutions on the market.

As a part of MSI's Gaming 9 series, these two new motherboards are high-end offers with Audio Boost 2 integrated audio, Turbo M.2 32Gb/s (standard M.2 on the Z97), SATA Express port (on X99S model) as well as bunch of other gaming related features.

Unfortunately, MSI did not reveal any details regarding the price of the new MSI X99S Gaming 9 ACK or the Z97 Gaming 9 ACK motherboards, but with such features and Killer networking, we doubt that these will be cheap.
