Gigabyte has decided to overhaul its already available H81M-WW motherboard by giving it G1.Gaming branding as well as some other features that are gaming oriented, thus the H81M-Gaming 3 was born.
The new H81M-Gaming 3 is based on micro-ATX form factor, is based on Intel's H81 Express chipset and should be a good choice for entry-level gaming systems.
While most of the features are pretty much the same as on the H81M-WW, the new H81M-Gaming 3 exchanges the legacy PC slot for PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slot and gets a new PCH heatsink that is a bit more in line with Gigabyte's G1.Gaming brand. In order to justify the G1.Gaming sticker on the box, Gigabyte also included a couple of gaming oriented features including on-board ALC892 CODEC audio with audio-grade electrolytic capacitors and ground-layer isolation and Intel Gigabit Ethernet controller.
Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any details regarding the actual price or the availability date but we guess that these new features will not add a lot to the price.
