Google brings back EXT filesystems to ChromeOS

Apparently, that was a bug

A few days after it has announced the removal of the EXT filesystems compatibility on ChromeOS, Google has now returned that same compatibility which might be a result of user feedback.

Following the recent announcement regarding the removal of the compatibility for drives with EXT2, EXT3 and EXT4 filesystems under Chrome OS' Files.app, Google has apparently changed its mind.

The users remarks did not fail as a result of Google's decision, and they were definitely not positive. It has led the giant of the web to review its decision and one of its members, Ben Chan, quickly responded saying that this was a bug that would be quickly corrected.

We honestly expected some sort of response from Google but "a bug", really? In any case, the compatibility reappeared yesterday in an update for the stable version of the Chrome OS.
