In a surprising turn of events and just ahead of the official launch, Apple has leaked and thus confirmed names and design of its upcoming Apple iPad Air 2 and Apple iPad Mini 3 tablets.
The names and more details showed up at Apple's own website in the iOS 8.1 user guide for iPads. While the site has been pulled down, Apple was not fast enough to get it before some sites managed to grab a screenshot of it.
As detailed in the user guide, both the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3 will, as rumored, feature a Touch ID fingerprint sensor in their Home buttons and the iPad Air 2 will be getting a new Burst Mode for the camera.
There have also been some rumors which suggest that at least on of those two new iPads, most likely the iPad Air 2, will be based on a new A8X SoC. Both tablets are also expected to sport 2GB of RAM.
In any case, we will know for sure later today when Apple is expected to officially announced these new iPads as well as some other devices including new iMacs, possibly new Macbook notebooks as well as the new OS X Yosemite.
