AMD rolls out Catalyst 14.9.1 Beta drivers

To fix issues with quad Crossfire

Shortly after releasing its latest Catalyst 14.9 WHQL drivers, AMD has now released the new Catalyst 14.9.1 Beta drivers which fix some general bugs as well as issues seen mostly on quad Crossfire systems running on the Catalyst 14.9 WHQL drivers.


According to the published release notes, the new AMD Catalyst 14.9.1 Beta drivers fix an intermittent black-screen and BSOD issues with Catalyst 14.9 WHQL drivers on some systems as well as various problems with the Catalyst Control Center. It also fixes some other random crashes when quad Crossfire is enabled or disabled.

In addition to bug fixes, the new Catalyst 14.9.1 Beta drivers also fix instability issues noticed with Battlefield 4 game on systems running quad Crossfire as well as system crash in Sniper Elite on quad Crossfire systems.

The new Catalyst 14.9.1 Beta drivers are available for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions and can be found at AMD's support site via link below.
