Russian overclockers Smoke and 12 have managed to break yet another record pushing the 3DMark 11 performance score to P50569.
The overclocking feat was done on ASUS Rampage V Extreme motherboard paired up with Intel Core i7-5960X CPU overclocked to 5547.3MHz and, of course, four ASUS GTX 980 Strix graphics card overclocked to 1820MHz for the GPU and 2093MHz for the memory.
The entire system was heavily cooled by LN2 and this is currently the highest 3DMark 11 performance score validated online. To make things even more interesting it is well over the last world record held by Gunslinger who managed to get P43864 score with four Radeon R9 290X graphics cards.
We are quite sure we will see even more of these graphics cards as soon as overclockers get a bit more acquainted with the new Geforce GTX 980 and iron out all the bugs and kinks of that specific GPU.
