EVGA officially teases X99-based mATX motherboard

Another more detailed teaser

EVGA has release yet another picture of its upcoming EVGA X99 Micro motherboard, a mATX model based on Intel's upcoming X99 Express chipset and with support for Intel's new Haswell-E LGA2011-3 CPUs and DDR4 memory.

While it features the same 10-phase VRM design as some of the earlier detailed EVGA X99-based motherboards, the motherboard lacks some features including SATA-Express slot and features "only" four DDR4 memory slots which means that it only supports up to 64GB of DDR4 memory.

The lack of some features is quite understandable considering that this is an mATX motherboard after all and it would be quite hard to pack all those features on such a small motherboard.

In any case, it does still have a lot of neat features and will probably be one of the more popular motherboards for high-end SFF LAN systems and hopefully we will see more about it as soon as Intel officially launches its high-end Haswell-E HEDT platform.

EVGA has even promised yet another teaser for tomorrow so we will surely keep our eyes on it.
