LG to show couple of new monitors at IFA 2014

34-inch curved, 24-inch gaming and 31-inch 4K/UHD

LG Electronics has announced that it will unveil the "world's first 21:9 curved IPS ultrawide monitor" as well as a 24-inch gaming monitor during IFA 2014 show scheduled to kick off in Berlin early next month. With 21:9 aspect ratio and 3440x1440 resolution on 34-inch IPS panel, the LG 34UC97 will certainly earn quite a big attention during the show while the 24-inch 144Hz LG 24GM77 and the 31-inch 4K 31MU97 should attract both the gaming and the high-resolution crowd.

According to LG, the LG 34UC97 will be the first 34-inch monitor that will use a curved IPS panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio. Targeting power users which will surely appreciate more monitor real estate, the LG 34UC97 will feature quad HD 3440x1440 resolution and will be compatible with both PC and Mac systems. It will feature Thunderbolt 2 connectivity for data transfers and device daisy chain ability as well as 7W stereo speaker system from Maxx Audio.

While we still do not know all the details, which LG is probably keeping for the IFA 2014 show, we do known that the LG 24GM77 24-inch gaming monitor will feature 144Hz refresh rate as well as LG's own Dynamic Action Sync (DAS) mode which should cut input lag. It should also feature Black Stabilizer for consistent blacks across different scenes and Game Mode as well as Motion 240 feature, which should minimize the motion blur.

The last, but definitely not the least is the LG 31MU97, a 31-inch 4096x2160 4K/UHD monitor with Digital Cinema 4K, an ability to reproduce 99 percent of the Adobe RGB color space, hardware calibration-ready, Dual Color Space and LG's exclusive True Color Pro calibration software.

LG's next generation of PC monitor will certainly be an interesting thing to see during IFA 2014.
