Soon Intel is going to launch their new Haswell-E plattform, which is going to bring DDR4 to the market by introducing the X99 chipset. Meanwhile motherboard makers appear to be allowed to upload pictures of their upcoming motherboards to the web and this time it's Gigabyte showing off their X99 UD7-WiFi board.
The X99 UD7 WiFi is going to be a very well equipped motherboard suitable for any kind of demanding application. Based on this board you can easily build a powerful workstation or also a gaming system.
Having a closer look at the PCB we find eight DDR4 DIMM Slots, 4 PCIe x16 expansion slots one PCIe x1 slot, a miniPCIe as well as an M.2 slot. Other than that there is a WiFi module with PCIe interface in the bundle. In terms of storage options, there are eight SATA 3.0 and two SATA Express ports. Unfortunately there is no information available on the audio solution.
So far, there is also no information on price and availability but we expect this information to be disclosed during the upcoming weeks.
