echpowerup has updated its popular GPU-Z software for graphics information, monitoring, and diagnostics to latest 0.7.9 version. The new version fixes several bugs but also, and more importantly, brings support for upcoming GPUs, including Nvidia GM204 and AMD Tonga.
According to the release notes, the new GPU-Z 0.7.9 fixes release date for Radeon R9 290, has a better Nvidia PhysX detection, improves fan-speed monitoring on newer AMD cards, sensor graph overflow/underflow and fixes some issues with the French translation of the software.
As far as the new support is concerned, the most important is the preliminary support for Nvidia's GM204 Maxwell GPU as well as the preliminary support for the upcoming AMD Tonga GPU. It also adds support for AMD Radeon R9 M275X, FirePro W5100 and FirePro W9100 as well as Nvidia's GeForce GTX 780 6 GB, GTX 860M, GT 830M, GTX 780M, GT 740, GT 730, GT 720, Quadro NVS 510, FX 380M, GRID K520, Tesla K40c graphics cards.
