Gigabyte has released the first official picture and teaser for its upcoming Gigabyte X99 Gaming G1 motherboard based on Intel's X99 Express chipset and aimed to be used with upcoming Core i7 Haswell-E CPUs. The motherboard packs quite a few neat gaming- and enthusiast-oriented features.
Revealed at
Gigabytedaily Blog Spot, the Gigabyte X99 Gaming G1 motherboard has an impressive list of specifications which start with 8-phase VRM CPU part drawing power from 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors. On each side of the CPU socket you get four DDR4 DIMM memory slots with support for up to 64GB of DDR4 memory in quad-channel mode.
The rest of the features include four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots, ten SATA 6Gbps ports, single SATA-Express 10Gbps port, M.2 slot, integrated 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth, Gigabit Killer E2200 Ethernet, Sound Core3D integrated audio with headphone amp, audio-grade capacitors and ground-layer isolation as well as bunch of USB 3.0, USB 2.0 ports and on-board buttons, POST LED and other overclocking-friendly features.
Unfortunately, this is just a teaser and this specification list is what we can actually see from the picture. As a part of Gigabyte's Gaming G1 series, we are quite sure we will see a bit more features once the full list is announced and the used black/red/gray color scheme is not half bad either.
Of course, we will hold our final judgment once the motherboard is officially launched.
