ASUS announces A88X-Gamer FM2+ motherboard

FM2+ with great looks and lots of features

Right after announcing the ROG Crossblade Ranger ASUS jump the gun with yet another socket FM2+ based product. The A88X is a basically a beefed-up A88X Pro with a completely new color scheme. Apart from that this board also comes with a rather interesting feature mix.

Taking a closer look at the board reveals it features a VRM as well as PCH heatsink with black and red color scheme similar to the ones you get with the latest Maximus VII series motherboards. If we start looking for features we find four DIMM slots, one PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot, one full-size PCI Express 2.0 slot (x4 mode), two PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots as well as three legacy PCI slots. Apart from that there are eight SATA 6Gbps ports, Intel Gigabit Ethernet, ROG SupremeFX audio with high quality ELNA capacitors and on top of all this there are four USB 3.0 (two on back panel) as well as ten USB 2.0 ports (four on back panel).

Looking for prices we find the board listed in Europe for just 84.50 Euro. This is definitely a competitive price tag and value minded gamers might have a new alternative when it comes to their motherboard choice.
